French courses
Improve your French quickly with conversation workshops
Gain confidence in yourself and your French, and talk without leaving too many blanks and hesitations in each sentence.
All you’ll need is a baguette and a beret to feel truly French.

Oral training for rapid progress in French
There’s nothing more instructive than speaking and practicing a language to learn it.
Even if you make mistakes, even if you lack vocabulary, even if you feel your accent is far too pronounced.
The more you exchange ideas, practice speaking and listen to other people who speak the language, the more you’ll
be able to respond, find your words and hold a discussion longer than your usual 2 min 34 seconds.
Today, you really want to improve your speaking skills, but you don't dare take the plunge:
You tell yourself that you don't have the level to understand a discussion in French, let alone talk to strangers for several minutes.
You feel like you're running out of vocabulary and can't find your words.
You have a busy schedule and you're afraid you won't have enough flexibility to take part in regular workshops.
You're afraid of being judged on your level and you're not very comfortable speaking in front of other people, especially in a videoconference.
I understand and I reassure you, these apprehensions are completely legitimate and normal.
Conversation workshops at La French Zone are designed to be non-judgmental spaces where
everyone helps and motivates each other.
Lun'discussions: conversation forums to practice your French
Every Monday for four weeks, join a group of 3 or 4 people to improve your speaking skills with 1 hour of conversation.
When do these conversation workshops take place?
You have a choice of timetables:
Minimum level required to take part: A2.
These moments are dedicated to exchange. You’ll make progress by practicing the language and using the tools and
vocabulary I give you.
When you register, and once the small group has been formed, I’ll send you a survey to give you a choice of topics.
You can then decide which 4 of the 10 topics you like best.
The most successful answers will become our monthly discussion topics.
Les Jeudis Culturels: discussion workshops on French culture
Once a month, come and talk with Marie about a theme related to French culture in a small group of 3 or 4 people.
Whether it’s a painting exhibited in the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, French poetry written by some of the world’s best-known authors or
a film made in France, you’re in for a real treat* (and a real treat).
*To be amazed is to be dazzled.
When do the Cultural Thursdays take place?
Once a month, on Thursday evenings from Xh to Xh.
Minimum level for participation: A2
Each workshop lasts 1h30 and is divided into two parts:
Would you like to see examples of activities carried out during Cultural Thursday?
– A discussion and debate around a Stromae song.
– Group reading of a text from a play.
– Creative writing to make the Louvre’s most emblematic works speak for themselves.
Conversation workshops for everyone
Whether you choose to take part in Lun’discussions to improve and enrich your French, or come to Jeudis Culturels to learn more about France, the values of La French Zone and the group atmosphere will be the same.

A non-judgmental space
Mon’discussions and Cultural Thursdays are open to anyone who wants to practice French. It's okay to make mistakes, you're here to improve. No one will judge you for that and I take great care to ensure that these spaces of exchange are caring and welcoming.
A time for encounters
Come and talk to people who also want to learn French. This is the ideal opportunity to learn more about the culture of the country, but also to meet great people.
Progress without even realizing it
Each week, we discuss a theme related to French culture. From travel and gastronomy to life in France. You 'll leave these conversation workshops with new vocabulary, new expressions and greater confidence in your French.

On the Friday before the Lun’discussion workshop, I’ll put the documents that will be used during the discussion on your Google Classroom.
