I started taking individual lessons with Daria in January with no previous knowledge of French besides the common phases. The lessons are tailored to my needs and my style of learning at a pace that benefits me. It has been a great source to grow my skills and learn more French. I had a one-on-one course with Agathe over the past months and am more than happy with her teaching style. Her customized courses and her lovely character allowed me to leave my comfort zone and progress in French - writing and speaking was both actively promoted by her in the courses. We can’t praise Daria enough for the help and confidence she has given us during our time learning to speak french with her over the past few months. We have definitely progressed with our language skills and knowledge during our time with her. She includes everyday practical language skills in her teaching, so you can immediately go and use this in the real world, (it’s not just endlessly repeating sentences that you don’t need). This has given us the confidence to talk to local people, and understand what they are saying in reply. Being able to speak and understand a little bit more french has made life here so much more enjoyable. She has also given us a better understanding of real everyday french life and its diverse culture, especially lots of background information on Brittany where we now live. If you really want to make real progress in learning french, I have no hesitation in recommending La French Zone.

I highly recommend La French Zone for improving your French. If you are on the fence, do it! I just completed my first block with Daria and she is absolutely phenomenal. Every private course is tailored specifically to the student. I wanted to learn more about sailing terms in French as I live on a sailboat and she created specific content for me that incorporated grammar but I also learned about a specific topic!! I also enjoyed the short lessons on French culture as well. Couldn’t recommend enough.

I have been working with Daria for 2 months since moving to France. I've never studied French before, so I have a lot of learning to do! She has been patient and kind with my beginner level, and is overall a very competent, warm, and fun teacher to learn with. I plan to continue my lessons with her and the school as I settle into my new home over the next several months. Daria is an exceptional French language teacher, she is very invested in her students learning, is extremely organised, knowledgable, experienced, well mannered, professional yet friendly... she has so many extraordinary qualities. I highly recommend her!

I can't recommend Daria highly enough. I'm doing individual lessons both online and in person. I had found after many group courses and having passed B2, I knew lots of stuff but needed it to be knitted together to improve my spoken French in daily life. Daria doesn't slavishly follow the text book but focuses on what I need to work on. Daria is very organised and focused. I really like that she encourages and pushes me appropriately. Her classes are definitely worth the investment.

I started with La French Zone on the 28th of May with Marie, initially purchasing the 1-1 24-hour package. I was a bit skeptical at first because I thought learning French over a video call might be challenging for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised—La French Zone works very well over Zoom. I've greatly benefited from La French Zone. I feel I've been accommodated perfectly to my current level, and I really enjoy my classes. Initially, I was a bit shy and nervous to learn and try speaking French, but that quickly changed.
