Professional French is not the same as everyday French
Emails to send, meetings to lead, discussions with your colleagues, administrative documents to
fill in… You realize that the most difficult thing about coming to France is not necessarily
to learn everyday language.
It’s about understanding the specificities of your workplace and using technical French. (And understand French administration, which is complicated even for native speakers, I assure you).
You are an expatriate and have been working in France for some time now, but you still have the impression that:
Your French is a barrier in business, you have difficulty establishing relationships with your colleagues
You are unable to progress in your job and you would like French not to be a linguistic or cultural obstacle.
Your French is not fluent enough and you sometimes have difficulty making yourself understood, which can cause quite… Bizarre situations.
You're not really part of the team and you feel like you're apart.
You're not really up to the task, even if you know your job by heart and excel at it. It’s really the language that makes you lose self-confidence.
In short, you don’t feel completely comfortable in your job.
And that’s normal.
Learning French is one thing.
Mastering it in a business context is another.
You had no idea that the work culture was so different.
You have endless meetings and your boss keeps asking you to “take stock”, “complete a file” or “send your feedback”, but you don’t know what that means exactly. .
The tone of communication in emails is subtle and you have difficulty using idiomatic expressions. Have you ever signed “my most sincere greetings” when a simple “have a good day” would have sufficed.
You are still surprised that the lunch break is so long (2 hours to eat a salad, is that really necessary?) and that your colleagues like to debate on any subject so much. This is why I created the French Career Club.
6 months to better integrate into your work
This club is above all a space that gives you all the keys to flourishing professionally in France.
And it goes like this:
6 themes covered
For 6 months, we address together a specific theme linked to the French professional world. To help you with your integration, we will see together:
Module 1: Your professional journey
How to present your journey, talk about your business, your objectives and your ambitions.
Module 2: The basics of professional communication
Learn polite expressions and communication standards. We work on intonation and the formal and informal language register. We write professional emails and letters together.
Module 3: Meetings and public speaking
Master the expressions you need to know to organize and participate in meetings, take notes and write a report, present your ideas and answer questions.

Express yourself constructively when you do not agree with something and master key phrases to resolve conflicts that may arise at work.
Module 5: Contracts and legal aspects of work in France
Understand the different types of contracts that exist, know your rights and the obligations of employers. We work on your oral expression so that you can ask legal questions.
Module 6: Corporate culture in France
Become familiar with the values and dynamics that you can find in French companies, particularly when it comes to schedules, management, and management. We work together on different business cases so that you are ready to face any situation.

Adapt your communication style to digital environments.
1h30 of French lessons per month
During the 6 months where you learn to master the codes of corporate life, we meet every month to address one of these themes.
A few days before your French course, we send you the resources in PDF format so that you can prepare.
Exercises and resources sent every week
Between each monthly French course, you are not alone! I’m sending you exercises to do via Discord to progress in your mastery of the language. You will have to, for example, listen to an audio document, read a text, watch a report, write something, learn vocabulary… which you then send to me!
I will send you your exercises with corrections and personalized feedback to help you progress. During the week, from time to time, I also provide additional resources on specific themes to give you even more keys to your professional integration. And to participate in discussions at the coffee machine, without your jokes flopping and causing embarrassed looks.

The French Career Club to practice professional French and understand its subtleties
In a small group of a maximum of 10 people, come and learn the professional culture of the country and all the vocabulary linked to the business world so that you no longer feel left out in the office.
Personalized follow-up
Each exercise you do is corrected by Marie or by me. We will then send you a precise and tailor-made answer key to help you progress in French independently. You work on the language every week with fun exercises that will make you love your job in France.
Scenarios
To become comfortable in your interactions at work, you will receive exercises to carry out which are real role plays, simulations or case studies to improve your speaking and writing and no longer be afraid to speak in business.
For example, you will have to present your company, a project or your skills to potential partners, lead a meeting, make an appointment or request specific information on a subject...
A Discord group to answer your questions
The French Career Club is above all a space for exchanges and mutual assistance. You will be part of a small group of up to 10 people with whom you can talk about your doubts, your obstacles and your desires. You will also be able to ask all your questions directly to the two French teachers (Marie and me). We will answer you on working days between 9am and 5pm.

This club is focused on learning professional French and the cultural codes that you find in companies across the country. In addition, you are part of a small group of maximum 10 people with whom you can interact on a daily basis. You progress every week with exercises sent and corrected by a French teacher in addition to having a 1.5 hour French course per month.
By registering for this club, you will participate in group French lessons which last 1h30 and take place every month on the theme of each module. You also benefit from exercises to do every week with personalized correction and you can ask all your questions in the Discord. So it’s much more than just a course.
